She first encountered the world of music and film through her mother, who worked at the Film Laboratories in Zlín and took her along to choir and orchestra rehearsals as a child.

Elisabeth has a close relationship with literature, photography, architecture, and art. She studied at the Academy of Early Music, Ethnology and Museology at Masaryk University in Brno, and Architecture at Brno University of Technology.

She completed masterclasses in Siena and Rome in Italy, Šibenik in Croatia, Velehrad in Moravia, Písek in South Bohemia, and in other places across the Czech Republic and abroad.

She has experience recording and collaborating with internationally respected composers such as Christopher Young and Elia Cmíral, as well as with artists including Jiří Kusý (R.I.P.), René Tuček (R.I.P.), Jelena Nosková, Pavao Mašić, Michal Vilím, Václav Hřebec, and Aliaksandr Yasinski.

Creative work

Her songwriting includes musical settings of poetry, work created with children in mind, and a spiritual undertone. Elisabeth combines tradition with originality and also writes her own lyrics.

Current activity

She currently teaches, leads a music group and children's choir, works on music and multidisciplinary projects, and continues her studies at Berklee College of Music.

„Music, singing, visual art“ and architecture play an important role in my life. I love nature, beautiful music, children, musical composition, humor, and intelligent people.

Elisabeth Ambrůz uses her second surname, Ambrůz, as her artistic pseudonym, derived from her mother's maiden name.
